Warm Up: 
Take a moment to check your grade in this class.  Are you passing or failing?  If you are passing, yay for you!!!.  If you are failing, what is your plan to make up your missing work?  Please send me a post about these questions. 

Assignment:
Today we are going to begin a new topic on Imperialism.  This section is VITAL to understanding the reasons why and how the US entered WWI and WWII.   
We will look at a power point and you will take Cornell Notes.  I will help you recognize what is most important to know. 

This may take a few days.

pancho villa was importan to the world war one war becuas.he was robing banks and was doing stuff that the usa did not like so they went for him.

contraband: the contraband was bad for then becuas they wer illigal stuff. and they wer smuguling it.

auther zimmerman: he was the secertary. he would help the war out.

2. Why did he decide to come to America?
Where there would be more opportunities for me. World War I had just ended, and it was a bad time in Europe.

He was 4 years old.

Crossing the Atlantic
4. How many days did the journey last?
For 2 weeks.
5. Describe the problems that arose while Seymour was on the ship.
We hit many bad storms at sea.
Ellis Island
6. How many immigrants were processed daily at Ellis Island?
Ellis Island and take a ferry to New York and finally set foot in America.

7. Why was Seymour and his father separated there?
They were asking a lot of questions about where he came from, what he did for a living back in Poland.

8. Describe what it was like to have to stay at Ellis Island.
It was filling better and he had no toys and so they were boys playing kit ball. And there was a boy that he spoke Yiddish in my language.

New Life in New York
9. How did Seymour help his father survive in New York?
She was singing a song to get money to bring the rest of her family to America.

10. What problems did Seymour and his dad face in 1924?
Many immigrants were being allowed into America. Her family could not get permission to come.

She sings for President Calvin Coolidge in the White House!
12. How did he help Seymour and his father with their problem?
To help her family to go America.

Last time i checked my grade it was a C but my coach said I have a D and it was true. I didnt do my warm ups but now im doing them to get my grade up.
