WHAT IM GOING TO CHANGE FOR NEXT SEMESTER IS TO COME TO CLASS EVERYDAY, PREPARED, TO DO NOT CHECK MY MAILS AND JUST DO MY WARM UPS AND ALL ASSIGNED WORK.

I am going to try to be more organized next semester, and turn in work on time, and do homework. but I think we should have more worksheets, instead of projects, because projects are alot harder for me like the cube, and barron rap. I like worksheets because they help me learn more, and its more easier to turn in on time (:

At the end of this semester I had a Ton of makeup work to do. I really did'nt enjoy it at all either. So that is why next semester I am going to start off fresh and just be in school everyday and it shouldn't really be a problem for me to keep a good grade that way.

i would do my work as soon as i get it

Who? German U-Boats
What? A technical info covering all the U-boat types, ranging from the smallest coastal boats to the huge supply and mine vessels. They are military submarines operated by Germany particularly in World War 1 used for battle on sea.
When?
Where? The u- boats fought covers both combat areas and special missions in WW1.
How?
Why? Although in theory, U-boats could have been useful fleet weapons against enemy naval warships, in practice they were most effectively used in an economic-warfare role, forcing naval blockade enemy hipping.

Who? Propaganda
What? Propaganda was a popular attempt to sway the public opinion in America just before its involvement.
Where? Brittan
When? German propaganda organizations such as the German Literary Defense Committee distributed over a million pamphlets during 1914 stressing their strength and will.
Why? Propaganda was used during the war to influence the public on the home front and boost moral
How? Propaganda is thought to have helped the war effort by getting people to support the war by doing things such as buying war bonds.

Who? Sussex Pledge
What? The Sussex pledge was a promise made in 1916 during World War I by Germany to the United States prior to the latter's entry into the war
Where? United States, Germany,
When? Early 1916,
Why? Early in 1916, Germany had instituted a policy of unrestricted submarine warfare,[1] allowing armed merchant ships - but not passenger ships - to be torpedoed without warning. Despite this avowed restriction, a French cross-channel passenger ferry, the Sussex, was torpedoed without warning on March 24, 1916; the ship was severely damaged and about 50 lives were lost.
How? Although no U.S. citizens were killed in this attack, it prompted President Woodrow Wilson to declare that if Germany were to continue this practice, the United States would break diplomatic relations with Germany. Fearing the entry of the United States into World War I, Germany attempted to appease the United States by issuing, on May 4, 1916, the Sussex pledge, which promised a change in Germany’s naval warfare policy.

Pancho Villa

Who: Pancho Villa

What: He was also into War, he defeded his country.

Where: Mexico

When: 1915

Why: After years of public and documented support of Villa's fight, the United States , following the diplomatic policies of Woodrow Wilson, who believed that supporting Carranza was the best way to expedite establishment of a stable Mexican government, refused to allow more arms to be supplied to Villa's army, and allowed Carranza's troops to be relocated over US railroads. Villa felt betrayed by the Americans. He was further enraged by Obregón's use of searchlights, powered by American electricity, to help repel a Villista night attack on the border town of Agua Prieta, Sonora, on 1 November 1915. In January 1916, a group of Villistas attacked a train on the Mexico North Western Railway, near Santa Isabel , Chihuahua , and killed several American employees of the ASARCO company. Passengers included 18 Americans, including 15 who worked for American Smelting and Refining Company. There was only one survivor, who gave the details to the press. Villa admitted to ordering the attack, but denied that he had authorized the shedding of American blood.[6]

How: With the powerful energy he had.

Jeanette Rankin

Ø Who: Jeanatte Rankin

Ø What: Jeannette Pickering Rankin June 11, 1880 – May 18, 1973 was the first woman to be elected to the United States House of Representatives and the first female member of the Congress sometimes referred to as the Lady of the House. A lifelong pacifist, she voted against the entry of the United States into both World War I and World War II, the only member of Congress to vote against the latter. To date, she is the only woman to be elected to Congress from Montana.

Ø Where: a former schoolteacher originally from New England. She attended the University of Montana and graduated in 1902 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology.

Ø When: In 1908, she migrated to New York City, where she started a career as a social worker. She later moved to Seattle, Washington, and then enrolled at the University of Washington, where she joined the incipient suffrage cause. She was instrumental in the cause's efforts to enable women to vote in Montana, and women gained the vote in Montana in 1914.

Ø Why: On November 7, 1916 she was elected to the House of Representatives as a Republican from Montana, becoming the first female member of Congress. The Nineteenth Amendment which gave women the right to vote everywhere in the United States) was not ratified until 1920; therefore, during Rankin's first term in Congress 1917-1919, many women throughout the country did not have the right to vote, though they did in her home state of Montana.
How: Rankin died in Carmel, California at the age of 92 from natural causes. Rankin bequeathed her property in Watkinsville, Georgia to help "mature, unemployed women workers." This was the seed money for the Jeannette Rankin Foundation, a organization that gives educational scholarships annually to low income women all across the United States. The organization has built capacity since its single $500 scholarship in 1978 to the eighty $2000 scholarships it is awarding in 2007. In 1985, a statue of her was placed in the United States Capitol's Statuary Hall. A play based on the life of Rankin entitled A Single Woman was produced in 2004, and a film of the same name was made in 2008.

PROPAGANDA

Who: Propaganda

What: Propaganda was used in World War One as in any war - and the truth suffered. Propaganda ensured that the people only got to know what their governments wanted them to know. In World War One, the lengths to which governments would go to in an effort to blacken the enemy’s name reached a new level. To ensure that everybody thought in the way the government wanted, all forms of information were controlled. Newspapers were expected to print what the government wanted the reader to read. In fact, though this would appear to be a form of censorship, the newspapers of Britain , effectively controlled by the media barons of the time, were happy to play ball. They printed headlines that were designed to stir up emotions regardless of whether they were accurate or not.

Where: On the United Stated.

When: During World War 1.

Why: The government wanted to controlled people.

How: They would just print on the newspaper what they wanted the reader to read.
